
Final List of all the Senior School Subjects for Grade 10 to 12
The Senior School curriculum in Kenya, under the Competency-Based Education (CBE), is composed of 3 distinct pathways that students choose based on their interests and career aspirations. Senior school covers Grades 10, 11 and 12.
All students take four core (compulsory) subjects, and then select additional subjects based on their chosen pathway. Learners are expected to take a total of seven subjects.

Regardless of the chosen pathway, all students must take the following four core subjects:
English
Kiswahili/Kenya Sign Language
Community Service Learning (CSL)
Physical Education
Note: In some contexts, Mathematics is listed as a compulsory subject, with students in the STEM pathway taking Core Mathematics and those in the other two pathways taking Essential Mathematics.
Students choose one of the three pathways, and then select optional subjects (typically three) from that pathway’s tracks.
This pathway is for students interested in innovation, technology, and problem-solving. It is divided into tracks:

This pathway focuses on understanding society, governance, and human behavior. It has tracks in Humanities/Business and Languages/Literature:

This pathway nurtures creative arts, music, dance, and athletic skills. It is split into Arts and Sports Science tracks:
