The 2022 Maseno National Geography Contest and Exam Talk

This year’s Maseno School National Moran Geography Contest will be held on Sunday 24th July, 2022, at Maseno Boys National School as from 8.00 a.m.

Important information, to kindly note;

You are requested to:

• Carry a set of eight to ten (10) students for Senior Entry and another set of eight to ten students for the Junior Entry
• Senior entry will cover both paper one and two topics, Junior entry will cover form one to two and the first three topics of form three (see attached topics to be covered)
• You can enter as many sets as you wish in each category. 
• Carry packed lunch for the day.
• Each school will be required to carry at least one teacher to participate in the marking exercise.
• Cary Taita Hills map for each student participating in the contest.
• All students are required to revise thoroughly for the contest. Form fours will register for Seniors while form threes can be registered for Junior category.

Please note that;

1. Trophies, certificates, textbooks, atlas and cash will be awarded to the winning students and schools.
2. All students, teachers and schools will be given certificates of participation.
3. Students will also be facilitated on answering techniques by Senior Examiners in paper one and two.
4. CARRY A TYPED E-MAIL ADDRESS FOR TRANSMISSION OF RESULTS.
5. ALSO, CARRY SOME MONEY FOR PURCHASE OF REVISION BOOKS.

TOPICS TO BE TESTED

Here are the areas to be covered, for each category of learners:

SENIOR CATEGORY

• Map work. (Nyeri map).
• Internal Land Forming Processes.
• Glaciation
• Weathering and Mass wasting
• Oceans, Seas and their Coasts
• Fishing
• Agriculture
• Mining

JUNIOR CATEGORY

•  Map work. (Nyeri map)
• Internal Land Forming Process.
• Weather 
• Vegetation
• Weathering/Mass Wasting.
• Forestry.

For each set, you will be required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of KShs.3,000 (three thousand) only.

Schools that may not a physical appearance at Maseno school can have the contest done online from their comfort zones.

Schools such as Alliance, Mang’u, Moi Kabarak, Muthale Girls, Lugul Girls, Bunyore Girls and Moi Girls Eldoret have already confirmed attendance. Come and share experiences with top performers in the Country.
