The students marched over 27 kilometres to the Education Offices in Eldama Ravine to register their opposition, demanding the retention of Christine Chepkole at the school.
In response, Koibatek Sub-County Educational Director David Kipsang ordered their release for security reasons but assured them that their concerns would be addressed in an upcoming school board meeting.
The main issue raised by the students was the recent transfer of their principal to Kaptagat Girls School.
The school board is expected to discuss the matter before the studentโs return to school.
Despite the protest, the students were commended for not causing disruptions at the school.
The school recently recorded impressive academic results, emerging as the second-best in the sub-county, with a mean score of 7.46, just behind Baringo High School.
