TSC advertises 5,000 new and 8,230 Replacement Teaching Vacancies in July/ August 2022

The Teachers Service Commission, TSC, has advertised 5,000 teaching vacancies to support the government policy on 100 percent transition of learners from primary to secondary schools and to address the existing teacher shortage.

The teachers recruited will serve on Permanent and Pensionable terms of service.

Interested and qualified candidates should submit their applications online through the Teachers Service Commission’s website, www.tsc.go.ke under ‘ Careers’ or teachersonline.tsc.go.ke not later than 7th July, 2022.

A. SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS (3,972 POSTS).

To qualify for recruitment, a candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

i) Be a Kenyan citizen;

  1. Must be a holder of at least a diploma in education;
  • Must be a registered teacher with Teachers Service

TEACHER TRAINING COLLEGES (28 POSTS).

To qualify for recruitment, a candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

i) Be a Kenyan citizen;

  1. Must be a holder of at least a Bachelors degree in Education;
  • Must be a registered teacher with Teachers Service

PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS (1,000 POSTS)

To qualify for recruitment, a candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

1. Be a Kenyan citizen;

2. Must be a holder of a PI certificate;

3. Must be a registered teacher with the Teachers Service

GENERAL INFORMATION

Please note that:

  1. The list of shortlisted candidates, interview dates and venues will be published on the Teachers Service Commission’s website by 15th July, 2022.

8,230 replacement vacancies

The Teachers Service Commission is also declaring 8,230 vacancies to replace teachers who exited service through natural attrition i.e. 6,539 posts for primary schools and 1,691 posts for secondary schools.

The teachers recruited will serve on Permanent and Pensionable terms of service.
