TSC Announces Updated Teacher Training Dates – New Schedule Included!

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has made significant changes to the training dates for Junior School (JS) teachers and Trainers of Trainers (TOTs) involved in the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC). These adjustments are due to the upcoming Good Friday and Easter Monday holidays.

If you are a teacher, master trainer, or involved in education, here’s what you need to know about the new schedule, locations, and participants.

Reason for the Change

Initially, the retraining for Junior School teachers hired in November and December 2024 was planned for April 9 to April 25, 2025. However, since Good Friday (April 18) and Easter Monday (April 21) fall within this timeframe, the TSC has modified the schedule to facilitate uninterrupted training sessions.

The updated timeline ensures that all participants, including master trainers, TOTs, and teachers, can attend without any issues.

Revised Training Dates & Activities

Master Trainers Kick Off First (9th – 11th April)

The training begins at the Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE).
