TSC congratulates award winning teacher Peter Tabichi’s students for bagging a global award

The Teachers Service Commission, TSC, has sent out a congratulatory message to two students from Keriko secondary school for bagging a global award. The students, Esther Amino and Salome Njeri, from the Nakuru school and coached by award winning teacher, Peter Tabichi, won the 2019 global United Nations Sustainable Development Goal Award in the US on Friday 17th May, 2019.

In her congratulatory message TSC boss Dr Nancy Macharia said; “Congratulations to Esther Amimo and Salome Njeri of Keriko Secondary School Nakuru for emerging winners of the UN Sustainable Development Goal Award during the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, 2019. You have made us proud.”

The Kshs 100 Essameter project was presented last year at the Kenya National Science and Engineering Fair where it took position one. The project is designed to help the visually impaired and the deaf solve mathematical problems. The girls pocket a cash prize of Kshs 200,000 for developing a device for visually impaired and deaf learners to measure lengths.

This a plus to another win by their teacher Peter Tabichi.
