TSC Interviews Scoring Areas 2023/2024

TSC Interviews Scoring Areas.

TSC interviews are scheduled to start and as a result, the Commission has issued a number of the scoring areas for teachers in the promotions.

The commission is expected to look at the Performance areas for the teachers for the last three Years .

The scoring areas are as follows:

Individual eachers’ posted Mean Score

With 11 and above – 20 marks
With 10 – 10.9 – 18 marks
With 9 – 9.9 – 16 marks
With 8 – 8.9 – 14 marks
With7 – 7.9 – 12 marks
With 6 – 6.9 – 10 marks
With 5 – 5.9 – 8 marks
With 4 – 4.9 – 6 marks
With 3 – 3.9 – 4 marks
With 2 – 2.9 – 2 marks
With 1 – 1.9 – 1 mark

Awarding based on *Teacher Improvement Index for the teachers* .

With 2 and above – 20 marks
With 1.70 – 1.89 – 18 marks
With 1.50 – 1.69 – 16 marks
With 1.30 – 1.49 – 14 marks
Withb1.10 – 1.29 – 12 marks
With 0.90 – 1.09 – 10 marks
With 0.70 – 0.89 – 8 marks
With 0.50- 0.69 – 6 marks
With 0.30- 0.49 – 4 marks
With 0.10- 0.29 – 2 marks
Withb0.09 and below – 1 mark

It is also important to note that the TSC analysed results should be validated by the Head of institutions before presented to the panel.

Al the teachers’ score shall be based on either the subject Mean Score or Improvement Index in the current or previous station (both apply)

*Check on Teacher Performance in Co-curricular Activities* (within the last 5 years as an Official, Coach and Referee etc.)

(a) under School level – 1 mark

(b) under Sub – County level – 2 marks

(c) under County level – 3 marks

(d) under Regional level – 4 marks.

(e) under National level – 5 marks.
