TSC Re-Opens Applications for Teacher Promotion Positions for 2025: Recruitment Details

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has re-opened applications for specific promotion positions aimed at enhancing leadership and teaching quality in Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs).

This initiative is part of the Commission’s ongoing efforts to elevate professional standards in the education sector.

Current teachers and those holding administrative and academic positions who are interested in two key roles—Senior Principal (TTC), T-Scale 14, and Senior Lecturer IV (TTC), T-Scale 9—are encouraged to apply.

The Commission is particularly seeking candidates with demonstrated leadership abilities, mentoring experience, and a dedication to ongoing professional development.

To qualify for the Senior Principal position, applicants must have served as a Principal or Deputy Principal I (T-Scale 13) for at least six months, while candidates for Senior Lecturer IV must have been a Lecturer I (T-Scale 8) for a minimum of three years.

All applicants should have strong performance evaluations and meet additional criteria set by the Commission.

Applications must be submitted online via the Teachers Online Portal at www.teachersonline.go.ke.

The deadline for applications is midnight on April 21, 2025, and hard copy submissions will not be accepted.

The TSC emphasizes that this is a re-advertisement and encourages those who previously applied to resubmit their applications, as their earlier submissions remain valid.

The Commission also reiterates its commitment to being an equal opportunity employer and invites individuals with disabilities to apply.

This initiative reflects TSC’s commitment to establishing a well-managed, motivated, and professional teaching workforce capable of delivering quality education across the nation.
