TSC releases new CBC Lesson Allocation for Teachers

TSC KENYA CBC Lesson Allocation for Teachers

The Teachers Service Commission, TSC, has assigned teachers to multiple learning areas based on their training. Here’s a quick breakdown of how lessons are distributed:

1. Language Teachers (English/Kiswahili/Foreign Languages)

English – 5 lessons

Kiswahili / KSL – 4 lessons

Social Studies (History, Geography, Citizenship) – 4 lessons

Religious Education (CRE/IRE/HRE) – 4 lessons

Pastoral Programme of Instruction (PPI) – 1 lesson

Total: 18 lessons per week

2. Mathematics Teachers

Mathematics – 5 lessons

Integrated Science – 4 lessons

Pre-Technical Studies – 4 lessons

Pastoral Programme of Instruction (PPI) – 1 lesson

Total: 15 lessons per week

3. Science Teachers (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)

Mathematics – 5 lessons

Integrated Science – 5 lessons

Pre-Technical Studies – 4 lessons

Agriculture – 4 lessons

Pastoral Programme of Instruction (PPI) – 1 lesson

Total: 19 lessons per week

4. Technical Teachers

Mathematics – 5 lessons

Integrated Science – 5 lessons

Pre-Technical Studies – 4 lessons

Agriculture – 4 lessons

Pastoral Programme of Instruction (PPI) – 1 lesson

Total: 19 lessons per week

Math teachers handle the lightest load with 15 lessons.

Science & Technical teachers have the heaviest at 19 lessons each.

Language teachers balance across literacy, social studies, and religious education with 18 lessons.
