TSC Replacement Vacancies 2025: Essential Documents for Teacher Recruitment Interviews
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has outlined specific requirements for candidates attending teacher recruitment interviews.
To ensure a transparent and merit-based recruitment process, candidates must present original and clear copies of certain documents for verification by the TSC.
Documents Required for Interviews
Shortlisted candidates for teacher recruitment interviews are required to bring several important documents. They must have the originals and clear photocopies of their National Identification Card, TSC Certificate of Registration, and academic credentials, including degree or diploma certificates along with their official transcripts for each qualification listed in their application.
Additionally, candidates must present their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE). Those who have taken KCSE or KCPE multiple times should provide certificates from all attempts. This also applies to all primary and secondary school leaving certificates and any other relevant testimonials.
If the applicant has a disability, they should include documentation from the National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD). In cases where there are discrepancies in names across the documents, a sworn affidavit must be provided to clarify these differences.
If any academic certificate is lost, the applicant must submit a certification letter from the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC).
The TSC has emphasized that incomplete documents will not be accepted.
Verification of Academic and Professional Documents
The TSC will verify all academic and professional documents to ensure that only qualified individuals are recruited. Provisional academic documents will not be accepted.
All applicants must bring original and photocopies of all necessary supporting documents, including identification, academic records, school leaving certificates, and any other relevant materials.
For intern teachers, the verification process is simplified; they only need to present their national ID card.
Documentation for Successful Applicants
Successful candidates will need to submit additional paperwork to the Secretary of the Selection Panel during the recruitment process. Required documents include both sides of the national ID, two recent passport-sized color photos, KCPE and KCSE certificates, any A-Level qualifications, all documented academic qualifications (including diplomas or degrees) along with their transcripts, the TSC registration certificate, the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) PIN, a copy of the bank card or plate, a completed pay point form, the GP 69 Medical Examination Form, and a receipt confirming the submission of these documents.
Final Submission of Papers to TSC Headquarters
The final submission of paperwork by TSC County Directors will be sent to the TSC headquarters. This will include signed panel minutes, county merit lists detailing successful candidates (including those with disabilities), employment letters, and the original KNEC documents for authenticity, along with the GP 69 medical form.
It is crucial to ensure that all documents are certified, organized, and accurately spelled to facilitate a smooth onboarding process.
According to a senior TSC administrator, the completeness and organization of the required documents are vital for timely processing by the TSC payroll. There has been a tendency for candidates to overlook documents, so it is important to carefully review the list and ensure that all necessary materials are brought to avoid disqualification in the future
