Purpose of Coaching

• Support teachers and institutional Administrators to create a safe, conducive learning environment for the school
• Support and supervise the teachers and Heads of institutions to enforce the provisions of the existing laws, regulations and policies on learner protection and
• Build capacity of teachers to protect learners from any form of harassment and other vices that they may be exposed to in both physical and online learning spaces

Communication  Skills

• This includes how they communicate and relate with each other and various stakeholders. In addition, teachers are required to maintain decorum in their communication and subscribe to the ethical and professional requirements of the teaching profession.

Learner Safety and Protection

–The teacher should ensure learner safety both in the physical and virtual learning spaces

Institutional Financial Management

A Coach should build the capacity of institutional Administrators and guide them on how to plan and utilize school funds under provisions of Article 201 (a) of the Constitution (2010) as well as the Public Financial Management Act (2012).

Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Sensitize the School Administrator on the provisions  of  the Procurement and Asset Disposal Act (2020,  Public  Procurement Manual for Schools and Colleges (2009) and Public Audit Act (2003) and adherence to them.
