  1. A friend of mine had B- kcse mean grade.Trained as a p1 teacher.Pursued a diploma -ECDE.He he meets the two teaching subjects threshold, why can’t he be deployed like their counter part with the same qualifications who did sne-diploma?Why discriminate?

  2. True there are teachers (in primary schools) lacking c+ in kcse but have very good grades in most of these Jss subjects especially the team that did 844 system of education !

  3. Why is a diploma in ecde teacher not allowed to apply to teach in junior secondary and some have C+and above mean grade and above c+ in 3 teaching subjects?

  4. The given requirements to teaching in junior secondary are good if we are to maintain education standards of high quality.HOWEVER, the given requirements have not captured some groups of teachers.A case in point is teachers with A- level qualifications. These teachers were awarded P1/S1 Certificates by the government in the period 1995 to 1996.This group of teachers taught in secondary schools when 8-4-4 started and have wide experience. Are their academic qualifications in KACE below C+ in KCSE?
