APPLICATION TO FILL IN THE POSITIONS OF CHAIRPERSONS AND BOARD MEMBERS
PURSUANT to the First schedule of Water Act 2016 on procedures of boards and committee appointments; Section 2 (1) (2) as read together with all the relevant statutes establishing the Water Sector institutions, the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Water, Sanitation & Irrigation wishes to invite applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill in the positions of Chairpersons and/or Board Members in the following institutions;
- Kenya Water Institute
- Water Sector Trust Fund
- Water Resources Authority
- Water Services Regulatory Board
- Athi Water Works Development Agency
- Tana Water Works Development Agency
- Coast Water Works Development Agency
- Tanathi Water Works Development Agency
- Northern Water Works Development Agency
- National Water Harvesting and Storage Authority
- Lake Victoria South Water Works Development Agency
- Lake Victoria North Water Works Development Agency
- Regional Centre on Groundwater Resource Education, Training and Research in Eastern Africa
Terms of Service: Three (3) Years Term (Renewable once subject to performance).
Requirements for Appointment
In order to qualify for appointment to any of these positions, a candidate must;
- Have relevant expertise and skills necessary for the performance of the mandates for the Authority/Board;
- Have knowledge and at least ten years’ experience in their respective field of qualification in (i) above; and, at least five of those years in senior management;
- Meet the requirements of leadership and integrity set out in Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya
- Be a Citizen of Kenya; and
- Have had a distinguished career in their respective
