APPLICATION TO FILL IN THE POSITIONS OF CHAIRPERSONS AND BOARD MEMBERS

PURSUANT to the First schedule of Water Act 2016 on procedures of boards and committee appointments; Section 2 (1) (2) as read together with all the relevant statutes establishing the Water Sector institutions, the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Water, Sanitation & Irrigation wishes to invite applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill in the positions of Chairpersons and/or Board Members in the following institutions;

1. Kenya Water Institute
2. Water Sector Trust Fund
3. Water Resources Authority
4. Water Services Regulatory Board
5. Athi Water Works Development Agency
6. Tana Water Works Development Agency
7. Coast Water Works Development Agency
8. Tanathi Water Works Development Agency
9. Northern Water Works Development Agency
10. National Water Harvesting and Storage Authority
11. Lake Victoria South Water Works Development Agency
12. Lake Victoria North Water Works Development Agency
13. Regional Centre on Groundwater Resource Education, Training and Research in Eastern Africa

Terms of Service: Three (3) Years Term (Renewable once subject to performance).

Requirements for Appointment

In order to qualify for appointment to any of these positions, a candidate must;

1. Have relevant expertise and skills necessary for the performance of the mandates for the Authority/Board;
2. Have knowledge and at least ten years’ experience in their respective field of qualification in (i) above; and, at least five of those years in senior management;

• Meet the requirements of leadership and integrity set out in Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya

1. Be a Citizen of Kenya; and
2. Have had a distinguished career in their respective
