Congratulations to all the candidates who have passed their KCSE exams and are soon joining university. This is indeed a significant achievement and a stepping stone towards your future endeavors. It is important to recognize that life in university can have a profound impact on shaping one’s character and future.

The choices and decisions made during this time can either contribute to personal growth or lead to negative outcomes.

Let me provide an example to illustrate this point. There have been instances where individuals, who were once good and well-behaved, succumbed to negative influences in university, such as drug abuse, due to the influence of strangers. This highlights the importance of being aware of the purpose of joining university and staying focused on personal goals.

Passing the KCSE exams should not be seen as the ultimate measure of success in life. It is crucial to understand that achieving success requires discipline, commitment, and continuous personal development. While the exams are an important milestone, they are just one part of the journey towards a fulfilling life.

For those who may not have achieved the desired results in the exams, I want to offer encouragement. Failing in exams does not define your worth or determine your future. There are numerous successful individuals who have achieved great things in life without even attending secondary school, let alone failing exams. It is important to remain resilient and explore alternative paths to success.

I urge parents to support and encourage their children who may not have made it to university. It is essential to understand their strengths and interests and guide them towards suitable alternatives. Technical schools, for example, offer valuable skills and opportunities for success in various fields.

In conclusion, passing the KCSE exams is a significant accomplishment, but it is not the end of the journey. University life presents both opportunities and challenges, and it is up to each individual to make the most of it. For those who didn’t achieve the desired results, remember that success can be attained through various paths. Let us all strive for personal growth, discipline, and commitment to make the most of our lives.
