When will the KCSE 2025 results be released? CS Ogamba answers

The 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE, Exams will be released by 15th of January, 2026. This is according to Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migosi Ogamba.

In December last year, while attending the Omogusii Cultural Festival at Kenyoro School Grounds in North Mugirango Constituency, Nyamira County, CS Ogamba announced that the 2025 KCSE results would be released in the second week of January 2026.

“The KCSE examination results will be released within the next two weeks. Traditionally, the KCSE exams are normally announced in January, and we are keeping to that tradition,” Ogamba said.

He also clarified potential confusion surrounding the timing of exam result releases. While results were often announced in December, those were for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE), which was not conducted this year due to the rollout of the new education curriculum.

“The exams previously released in December were the KCPE results, but this year, we did not have that examination. This may have led to some confusion,” Ogamba explained.

The 2024 KCSE results were officially released on January 9, 2025, by Education CS Julius Migos Ogamba.
