It is also focused on emerging technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain technology, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Software Development, Machine Learning and the Internet of Things (IoT),โ€ Prof. Munene noted.

The University has in the recent past been receiving recognitions in generation of tech-solutions, with students winning top awards including in the Inter-University Power Learn Hackathon, a competition that saw all Universities in Kenya showcase their ideas.

Some of the innovations the students have developed include Airsafi green solutions; an innovation which has gained attention among Environmental experts in the country.
