Registration of candidates for the 2021 Teacher Education Exams (SNE, DTE, ECDE and PTE)- Knec circular

The Kenya National Examinations Council, KNEC, has directed students at Teacher training colleges to register for the 2021 teacher education examinations. Via a circular dated 13th January,2021 the Council expects the students to enroll for the 2021 SNE, DTE, ECDE, PTE and TCAE exams.

According to KNEC, the registration window will be opened on March 1, 2021 and close on 30th April this year.

Students will proceed for their teaching practice in September this year (for SNE, DTE, PTE and TCAE students) while, ECDE students shall be assessed in October. (See full circular below)

The current certificate and diploma in ECDE course will be offered for the last time this year (2021) as the Curriculum for ECDE is expected to change in the year 2022.

  1. I am David masha.was registered and confirmed registeration by 30th April 2021.later,was deregistered due to fee balance but paid individually to to knec account for diploma in ECD exam.shall I do the exam or not?

  2. if one failed to register a reffe will the be a chance for the referred candidates to sit for their examination next year 2022
