In 2023, the College achieved a significant milestone by graduating 22,695 students in a ceremony graced by Deputy President H.E Rigathi Gachagua.

This event was a key highlight of the year, symbolizing the KMTC’s commitment to producing competent healthcare professionals.

The Deputy President commended the graduates, emphasizing their role in improving the Nurse-to-Patient Ratio and contributing to the transformative Afya Nyumbani initiative under Universal Health Coverage.

The ceremony, held at the Moi Sports Center, Kasarani on 7th December, 2023, marked the awarding of 870 higher diplomas, 12,917 diplomas, and 8,908 certificates. Notably, some graduates will be deployed to the UK and Germany under bilateral health partnerships, showcasing the global demand for Kenyan healthcare providers.

The ceremony was attended by Health Cabinet Secretary Nakhumicha S. Wafula and Principal Secretary Mary Muriuki, both acknowledging KMTC’s vital contribution to healthcare.

The Board Chairperson, Mr. Joseah K. Cheruiyot, highlighted KMTC’s alignment with national economic agendas and its commitment to digital transformation. CEO Dr. Kelly Oluoch reaffirmed the College’s dedication to excellence, citing the recent launch of the Strategic Plan 2023-2028.
