The Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers, KUPPET, had moved in to address stagnation of teachers. This is after several deserving teachers were left out of the just concluded promotion exercise. In a memo sent to all teachers, the union is collecting data on Stagnation.

Here is the memo sent to teachers from Kuppet Boss Akello Misori:

“Since the conclusion of the recent promotions by the Teachers Service Commission, the union has received many complaints from members who deserved to be promoted but were unfairly excluded from the process.

To inform our next course of action, the Union is collecting data from teachers who have stagnated in the various Job grades across the teaching profession.
The data will be used in strict confidence and will not be shared with any other institution/parties.

Please bring this information to members’ attention (link attached below) so they can provide the data by Friday 15 March 2024.”
