    How to apply for KMTC placement online

    Most Kenya students’ dream is to join the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC). If you are among those wishing to join KMTC, then here is your full guide on how to easily apply for KMTC placement online.

    Application for KMTC placement is done via the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) portal.

    The application targets qualified KCSE holders who wish to enrol in KMTC programmes, including those who applied previously but were not successful.

    Application Instructions.

    1. Access the Student’s Portal using the link students.kuccps.net or through the KUCCPS website www.kuccps.ac.ke.

    2. Click the Login tab and input your KCSE Index Number, KCSE year and Password in the provided slots. Your password is your Birth Certificate Number or Your KCPE Index Number.

    3. Once logged in, click “KMTC Programmes” to view available courses and their minimum requirements. Applicants will only be able to apply for courses where they meet minimum requirements. Download the PDF document containing the details of the available programmes for ease of reference.

    4. Once you have decided on your preferred courses, you will be required to enter the Programme Codes.

    5. To apply, click the “KMTC Application” tab then “Apply Now”.

    6. Enter the Programme Codes in the provided form. Arrange them in your order of priority, from your most preferred course (No. 1) to your least preferred course (No. 4).

    7. After entering the programme codes for all the courses that you want, allow the system to fetch all the programmes details before you click Submit.

    8. On submitting, you will be required to pay Ksh1,500 and the portal will display the payment instructions.

    Payment Procedure

    Note: Unsuccessful applicants from the last KMTC application need not pay again but should use the previous Payment Reference Code to apply.

    The rest should follow these steps:

    1. On clicking the Submit button in the online application form, a pop-up will be displayed with a “Click Here to Pay” link. (If you have already paid, enter the Payment Reference Code generated by eCitizen.)

    2. Click on the link and you will be redirected to a page with eCitizen payment instructions.

    3. Choose your preferred payment method from the provided options and proceed to pay as provided.

    4. For M-PESA, click on the relevant button and the payment details will be displayed including Business Number (222222), a Payment Reference Code and the required amount.

    5. Use the M-Pesa Menu on your phone and make the payment following the provided instructions. Enter your M-PESA PIN and Send.

    6. Go back to the application window and use the eCitizen Payment Reference Code to submit your application. (The same Ref. Code will be required for any subsequent changes to your application; hence, you are advised to retain it.) DO NOT use MPESA transaction code.

    7. After you have successfully paid and submitted, the system will display a message indicating that the application was successful.
    8. On the Dashboard, you will see your successful application.

    That is it. Now you will wait for a placement confirmation message from Kuccps.
