TSC now makes BBF deductions and membership optional for teachers
The Teachers Service Commission, TSC, has now made it optional for teachers to whether join or leave the Burial Benevolent Fund (BBF). Teachers are now at liberty to willingly join or exit the Kuppet and Knut BBF kitties.
The latest move by TSC follows an outcry from teachers after the employer forcefully effected BBF deductions to the unions at a rate of Sh200 per month from all teachers.
The BBF kitties are run by the union officials at Branch level.
