TSC Promotions 2025: List of requirements at promotion interviews

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) will Carry out promotions interviews will be carried out between January 13th and February 7th, 2025. The Commission has already sent interview invitation messages to successful applicants.

First to be interviewed will be teachers in lower job groups with those in Primary Schools facing the panels first.

The TSC County Directors will be in charge of interviews at the County level while, the Regional Directors will coordinate interviews for top grades.

TSC has declared 19,943 promotion vacancies for teachers from job group C1 to job group D4 after being allocated sh 1 billion by Treasury.

TSC invited teachers from primary to post primary institutions to apply online for the promotion vacancies.

TSC gave qualified teachers till the midnight of 30th December, 2024 to place an application.

Teachers will be required to present a number of documents during the interview sessions.

Those successful after the interviews will again be required to present other additional documents before they can take their positions.

LIST OF DOCUMENTS TEACHERS TO PRESENT DURING TSC PROMOTION INTERVIEWS

Kindly note that the number of documents to present depends on nature of the promotion vacancy.

Classroom teacher will have less documents compared to those seeking higher administrative positions.

2) Original academic certificates (KCSE, PTE, Diploma and Degree certificates)

3) Letter of appointment to current grade

4) Latest payslip

5) Last promotional letter

6) Letter assigning responsibility of HOI/DHOI

7) Performance appraisal reports (TPAD) for 2021, 2022, 2023

8) Any other testimonials

1) Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)

2) Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)

3) Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)

4) Clearance from Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)

5) A Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
