An anonymous whistleblower has uncovered shocking details about Mwalimu National Sacco’s (MNS) ruthless exploitation of teachers and revealed a harrowing reality: the Sacco has fully morphed into a financial guillotine that is mercilessly decapitating the livelihoods of educators.
From the gut-wrenching account sent to us on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, the whistleblower recounts a tragic fate of how their own brother (a respected high school teacher) was driven to suicide by the Sacco’s predatory loan schemes.

The Sacco has turned into a death trap, plunging teachers into financial crises.
TSC set a third rule to every financial institution on loaning.
Most teachers had messed their lives because the institutions had little care for teachers’ financial knowledge.
MNS has many loan products that lure teachers into death traps, such as THE GREEN FORM.
I lost my brother, a respected growing high school teacher, to suicide.
*MNS lured my brother into THE GREEN FORM, took a loan and had all his salary taken. He never shared his problems with us until his wife raised the alarm about her husband’s inability to provide basics, pay rent and school fees.
*When questioned by his wife, he mentioned his loan at MNS and that he had not earned for 2 good years and did not see the loan reduce. Whenever he went to MNS for his salary, the manager would only approve 2K for him against another white form for salary advance. This was the lead towards ending his life. I took my time and went with his wife to a branch of MNS after the burial to verify the case, and to my surprise, it was true. In my findings, many teachers don’t have a salary. ZERO salary.
*Some TSC staff in Nairobi are senior officials of MNS, thus teachers are gagged and have no one to come to their rescue. The TSC CEO, Dr. Nancy Macharia, must stop MNS from killing her teachers. She must stop THE GREEN FORM.
*If MNS does not address how to cushion teachers with GREEN FORM LOANS, I will take this to the courts and the wider media along with the affected families.
