Several teachers are facing the law over cheating cases at the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE, exams.
Many cases of examination malpractice have been reported in Kisii and Nyamira. Also on the Kenya National Examinations Council’s radar, over cheating cases, are Homabay and Migori counties.
In Kisii County, Four teachers (including an exam centre manager, a supervisor and two invigilators from Bobamba Secondary School in Gucha) were nabbed on Wednesday over exam malpractice.
According to Kisii County Commander Charles Kases, the four were arrested after poeces of papers containing Geography Paper 2 answers were found within the exam centre by awk eyed KNEC officials.
The four; Centre Manager Edwin Mokaya, Supervisor Gideon Omondi and invigilators Joseph Nyaosi and Ezekiel Nyambane were taken to Ogembo Police Station; within Kisii County.
The Kisii County Commander said investigations have begun to ascertain how the exam answer sheet was found within the school grounds.
