Ministry of Education form one 2024 Elimu Scholarship Application Form, Guidelines

The Ministry of Education through the Jomo Kenyatta Foundation announces scholarship opportunities for students who scored above 280 marks in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination.

In a notice published in MyGov on Tuesday, students from all 47 counties who sat for their exams in 2023 will benefit from the scholarship programme.

Only applicants from public primary schools and refugee camps who took the 2023 KCPE exam will be taken into consideration.

The Ministry further clarified that students from urban informal settlements, orphans, and students whose parents are disabled and unable to support their family financially would all be eligible.

In addition, students whose families are affected by HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses would be considered for government scholarships.

Other categories listed are those from poverty-stricken families, those neglected, and learners with special needs and disabilities.

Interested applicants are advised to collect scholarship application forms from the nearest sub-county education office. Refugee learners form can be collected from Equity Bank Branches in Kakuma and Dadaab and the Sub-County Education offices.
