The 2023 KCSE Results are now out and available at the Knec online portal. A total of 1.4 million students sat for the KCSE exams. This is the last cohort of Class Eight pupils to undertake the examination under the 8-4-4 system.
To access the 2023 KCSE results, the Ministry of Education has provided various methods, including checking through SMS and online platforms.
Checking the KCSE results via SMS
- Open a blank text message on whatever SIM card you are using
- Type your full 11-digit KCSE number followed by the word KCSE, for example, 50167345023KCSE. Do not leave spaces in the index number and the word KCSE.
- Send to the KNEC SMS number 40054
- You will receive a text message from KNEC with your results after a short while. The SMS will cost Ksh25 per message sent across all networks.
Checking 2023 KCSE results online
- Visit the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) portal.
- Click on the KCSE Results tab.
- Select the year of the exam (2023).
- Enter your Index number.
- Press the Submit button.
