Grade 6 learners who sat for the 2023 Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) in 2023 will now know their results. The results have been released and uploaded to the Knec portal.
According to the Kenya National Examinations Council CEO, David Njeng’ere, KNEC has released the three reports.
A total of 1,287,597 Grade Six pupils sat their KPSEA exams between November 28 and November 30.
Individual learners, school-specific reports, and the national report on school-based and summative assessment are the three reports released by Knec.
The national report highlights the areas that require assistance as well as the number of learners at each performance level per topic who require intervention.
The individual school report has been tailored to each school and highlights areas where students face difficulties and where schools require further assistance
The KPSEA candidates, like the KCPE candidates, took five multiple-choice exam papers. They took Math, English, Kiswahili, Integrated Science, Creative Arts, and Social Studies classes.
KPSEA Results Will Not Be Used For Placement Of Learners In Junior Secondary Schools
The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has announced that the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) results will not be used for placement of learners in Junior Secondary Schools.
The KPSEA report will, however, be part of the process of monitoring of learner progress.
“The national report will provide feedback to education stakeholders on areas that require intervention. The report will indicate the proportion of learners at each of the performance levels per subject where perhaps we need to do some interventions,” says KNEC CEO David Njengere.
