Mount Kenya University Foundation is the charitable arm of Mount Kenya University. The Foundation was established to co-ordinate several activities that the University has been undertaking in aid of students and alumni. Its programmes are geared towards harnessing public and private support that benefits the educational, research and community service mandates of the University. The Foundation provides a structured avenue for alumni, friends, corporations, institutions and philanthropists to give gifts and donations.

THE CALL

Mount Kenya University through the Foundation is glad to advertise for scholarship opportunities to ALL students studying at Mount Kenya University across all its campuses in Kenya. The scholarship programme is strictly meant to cover tuition fees. Scholarships valued at Ksh. 5 million will be on offer.

Scholarship Description

1). Application Open: 15th April, 2019
2). Application Close: 1st July, 2019
3). Study subject: All Undergraduate Programmes
4). Campus: All MKU Campuses and Centers in Kenya
5). Scholarship Award:
Selected students will be awarded a scholarship equivalent to ONE SEMESTER TUITION FEE paid directly to the University.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

1). Scholarship is open to ALL students studying at Mount Kenya University irrespective of their Nationality.
2). The mode of study MUST be REGULAR.
3). The student MUST demonstrate good academic records.
4). The student MUST demonstrate that he/she is needy.
5). The student MUST have a good disciplinary record.
6). Physically challenged needy students are encouraged to apply. In addition, due consideration will be given to gender equity and students from marginalized communities.

MODE OF APPLICATION

To apply for the scholarship, interested students should pick an Application Form from Mount Kenya University Foundation Office (MKU Thika Campus, Alumni Plaza, 9th Floor, Room 916) or download the Form from the website www.mkufoundation.org download form here.

Application documents in both hard and soft copies should be submitted by Monday, 1st July, 2019at 1700hrs. Duly filled Application Forms should be submitted as BOTH soft and hard copies as follows:

The applicant must scan and produce electronic copies of the Application Form and the necessary attachments, convert them to PDF and mail to [email protected]
