How to activate/ deactivate calls and SMS barring/ blocking service in your phone

Are you wondering how you can activate or deactivate calls and SMS blocking on your Safaricom line? Some times, you may feel like you do not want to receive or make calls. You can easily block calls and SMS whenever you feel like doing so.

Blocking or unblocking calls and SMS is not automatic. Consequently, you will need to have the right procedures for doing all these. Read through the guide below.

Barring All Outgoing calls

• • To activate barring of all outgoing calls from your line dial the service code: *33*0000#
  • To deactivate barring of all outgoing calls from your line dial the service code: #33*0000#

Barring all outgoing SMS

• • To activate barring of all outgoing SMS from your line dial the service code: *33*0000*16#
  • To Deactivate barring of all outgoing SMS from your line dial the service code: #33*0000*16#

How to Bar All incoming calls

• • To activate barring of all incoming calls to your line dial the service code: *35*0000#

How to Bar All incoming SMS

Barring incoming calls when roaming

How to Bar All incoming calls except home calls (when roaming)

• • To activate barring of all incoming calls to your line, when roaming except home calls, dial the service code: *332*0000#
  • To deactivate barring of all incoming calls to your line, when roaming except home calls, dial the service code: #332*0000#

Barring all International calls

• • To activate this feature, dial the service code: *331*0000#
  • To deactivate this feature, dial the service code: #331*0000#

How to Deactivate all barrings:

• • To cancel all barrings dial the service code: #330*0000#

USING THE SAFARICOM USSD CODE, 100, TO ACTIVATE/ DEACTIVATE CALL BARRINGS

Apart from the elaborate procedures, above, you can at the same time use the Safaricom USSD code (100) to activate and deactivate calls and SMS barring.

• All that you need to do is to dial *100# from your Safaricom line.
• Then, select option 2 (Sim card queries).
• Next, choose option 3 (Calls and SMS Barrings).
