KNEC advertises posts for Supervisors, Invigilators of Business and Technical Exams; How to apply and requirements

The Kenya National Examinations Council, operating under Cap 225A laws of Kenya from 1980, repealed in 2012 and replaced by the KNEC act 2012, is mandated to conduct examinations in schools and colleges, issue certificates and do equations of certificates Technical and Business examinations are conducted twice a year. It is for this purpose that KNEC wishes to request for expression of interest in Supervision and Invigilation work.

Required Qualifications:

i Trained Teachers with a Diploma or Degree level qualification. TSC numbers but not employed by the TSC,
ii Retired Teachers with a Degree or Diploma level qualification but not over the age of 65 years
iii Trained Accountants with good standing with their professional bodies:
iv Tutors in National Polytechnics, Technical and Vocational Colleges and Vocational Training Centres, with Degree, Diploma or Certificate level qualifications.

It is understood that all the above will be persons of good moral character, not having any criminal record and of good standing in society, to which extent, a certificate of good conduct or recommendation letter may be required when in doubt.

  • Degree and Diploma holders may be placed as Supervisors while Certificate holders will be posted as invigilators.
  • The persons who apply for these duties must come from a reasonable distance from the Institutions they will be rendering their services.

How to apply.

Interested candidates who meet the required qualifications should apply through the nearest Office of the Sub County Director Education on or before the 30th day of October 2019 with copies of their certificates and a professional recommendation letter, discharge letters or a letter from the principal of the institution they are working in.
