The Teachers Service Commission, TSC, collaborates with a number of stake holders. These include individuals, organizations and government agencies. The stake holders play a key role in aiding TSC to achieve her mandate.

Here is a full list of stakeholders who work closely with TSC;

Learners in both primary and post primary institutions

Learners in all public learning institutions ( primary, secondary schools and tertiary learning institutions) play a vital role in enabling the commission to execute her mandate.

Secretariat staff

What the Secretariat Staff requires from TSC

Ministry of Education, MOE

MOE expectations from TSC

•  Support in administrative initiatives towards the realization of quality teaching.

The National Treasury

Finance is the back-bone of the Commission’s operations. Funds from the ministry help TSC in not only remunerating her employees, but also for smooth day-to-day operations.

What the National Treasury expects from TSC

•  Effective management of financial resources in accordance with PFM Act
•  Effective management of all the Government asset in its custody.

TSC requirements from the National Treasury.

•  Provision of adequate budgetary support for PE, O&M and development for TSC programmes in accordance with the MTEF.
•  Timely release of the allocated funds.
•  A continuous engagement on emerging financial gaps that may arise from time to time.

The National Assembly

This includes both the Senate and National Parliament.

This is what the National Assembly requires from TSC

•  Accountability and efficient use of resources including the teaching resource.

Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC)

Teacher Training Institutions

Teacher Training Institutions include universities and Teachers Training Colleges (TTCs).

What they require from TSC

• Set entry standards to teaching service
• Co-opt them in the development and implementation TPD programs where necessary

Parents and Boards of management

These are parents’ bodies and school management committees.
